From his first harmonica performance at age five, Hunter Gross has pursued a lifelong journey in music that has evolved into a distinguished career as a percussionist, chamber musician, and educator. Based in Denton, Texas, he performs actively with the acclaimed Heartland Marimba Quartet, bringing innovative percussion music to audiences worldwide.

As a dynamic performer, Hunter has shared his artistry through solo and chamber performances across the globe, including appearances in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Portugal. Hunter most recently performed in a showcase concert with HMQ at the 2024 Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC). His dedication to advancing classical percussion shines through his ongoing collaborations with contemporary composers and leading musical institutions.

In his role as an educator and clinician, Hunter embraces a holistic approach, focusing not just on musical excellence but on nurturing the complete development of his students as both musicians and individuals. Currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of North Texas, he also enjoys golfing and time spent with his family and dog, Ozzy.
